NZ Transport Company Waka Kotahi (NZTA) suggested about 2.30pm that State Freeway 6 was closed between Makarora and Lake Hāwea, on the way in which to Haast Cross.
NZTA stated the slip occurred close to the Flaxmill Creek Bridge, and crews have been on their strategy to cope with it.
