The occupants of a Dunedin home escaped unhurt after a fireplace took maintain within the roof this morning.
A Fireplace and Emergency New Zealand spokesman mentioned they had been alerted to the blaze, in Quarry Rd, Inexperienced Island, about 5.40am.
A number of crews responded and located the property well-involved, however they had been in a position to suppress the fireplace by about 6.15am.
The Fenz spokesman mentioned all occupants had obtained out of the home unhurt.
He mentioned there have been nonetheless crews on the scene about 7;20am, and a fireplace investigator had been referred to as in.
