Warriors, the brand new musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eisa Davis based mostly on the 1979 cult traditional movie The Warriors will make its Broadway debut subsequent spring, producers introduced at the moment.
Warriors will start previews March 2027 at Broadway’s Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, with an official opening in April. Will probably be Miranda’s first new full-length authentic stage musical since his mega-hit Hamilton.
Directed by Jenny Koons and co-directed/choreographed by Andy Blankenbuehler, Warriors follows a fictitious New York Metropolis gang from Coney Island to the Bronx and again when they’re framed for the homicide of revered gang chief Cyrus.
Based mostly on the Paramount Photos movement image and the novel The Warriors by Sol Yurick, the brand new musical has a twist: The road gang that gives the title is now a feminine gang.
Miranda and Davis are writing the ebook, music and lyrics.

Miranda, Jr. and Jeffrey Vendor, with scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Dede Ayite, lighting design by Natasha Katz, sound design by Jason Crystal, projection design by Hana S. Kim, music supervision by Kurt Crowley, and orchestrations by Kurt Crowley, Scott Wasserman and Mike Elizondo.
