A surgeon whose life-saving efforts have been pivotal in treating youngsters injured in the course of the Southport knife assault has stated she is “humbled” at being recognised within the King’s Birthday Honours record.
Vittoria Bucknall, a marketing consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon at Alder Hey Youngsters’s NHS Basis Belief, is about to obtain a British Empire Medal (BEM) for her distinctive companies to youngsters and younger folks.
