Hours after President Donald Trump blasted Sen. Invoice Cassidy for supporting a battle powers decision that narrowly handed the Senate on Tuesday, Cassidy helped to ship Trump a victory by voting with the vast majority of Republicans late Wednesday to dam a separate decision geared toward reining within the president’s battle powers in Iran from advancing.
It was a outstanding departure for Cassidy who, simply hours in the past, was in a shouting match with the president throughout a lunch between Trump and the GOP convention.
