New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani flexed his political muscle Tuesday, getting a clear sweep as his three endorsed congressional candidates superior to November’s normal election, ousting two incumbent Democratic congressmen.
There have been a number of high-profile races throughout New York on Tuesday, in addition to primaries in Maryland and Utah and first runoffs in South Carolina.
In New York’s seventh Congressional District, ABC Information initiatives that Mamdani-backed state Assemblywoman Claire Valdez will win over Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso.

Constantino will face dairy farmer Blake Gendebien, who ABC Information initiatives will win the Democratic nomination, in November.
And in one other race that would decide management of Congress, ABC Information initiatives that former Nationwide Safety Council Counterterrorism Director Cait Conley will win the Democratic main to tackle Republican Rep. Mike Lawler within the purple seventeenth District.
Maryland primaries
Maryland state Delegate Adrian Boafo is projected by ABC Information to win the Democratic nomination to succeed retiring Rep. Steny Hoyer within the state’s fifth District. A former aide to Hoyer, Boafo acquired the longtime congressman’s endorsement, in addition to these of Maryland Gov. Wes Moore and U.S. Sen. Angela Alsobrooks in a crowded main.

South Carolina governor runoff
South Carolina Legal professional Normal Alan Wilson will win the runoff within the state’s Republican gubernatorial main, ABC Information initiatives.
