The FBI served a search warrant on the Fulton County Elections Hub and Operations Heart in Georgia Wednesday searching for data associated to the 2020 elections, a spokesperson for the county mentioned.
The FBI earlier Wednesday mentioned they have been conducting court-authorized exercise on the facility.
The event comes after President Donald Trump has repeatedly mentioned there was voter fraud within the 2020 election, particularly in Georgia.
“This operation continues to be actively underway,” the Fulton County spokesperson mentioned in an announcement Wednesday afternoon.
Final month, the Division of Justice sued Fulton County for entry to its 2020 election data, together with poll stubs and signature envelopes.
This previous November, a Georgia prosecutor dropped the Fulton County election interference case that was introduced in 2023 in opposition to Trump and 18 others for alleged efforts to overturn the outcomes of the 2020 presidential election within the state.
