A Christchurch man has been jailed for all times after being discovered responsible of homicide.
James Holder shot David Bridgwater outdoors a property in Aranui in January final 12 months.
A jury rejected Holder’s argument that he acted in self-defence.
Justice Lisa Preston sentenced Holder to life imprisonment, with a minimal non-parole interval of 11 years and 9 months.
She advised the court docket that Holder acted out of rage, then deserted Bridgwater to die on the road.
Holder’s companion Leanne Crighton, who pleaded responsible to making an attempt to pervert the course of justice, has been sentenced to 16 months in jail.
