However European soccer associations, already smarting from FIFA’s dealing with of the 2026 males’s World Cup, are outraged on the proposals and on the management of FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who they see as too near U.S. President Donald Trump.
Thrive Capital, whose CEO Josh Kushner is the brother of Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, is closely concerned with the plan, as reported by POLITICO’s West Wing Playbook.
“The World Cup shouldn’t be a product,” continued Burnham. “It’s the best competitors in world sport, and it was by no means anybody’s to promote. Costume the deal up nevertheless you want. After getting bought a chunk of it, you have got bought out.”
