Brisbane defender Ty Gallop has been suspended for 3 video games for a severe misconduct act he admits is a “very dangerous look”.
Gallop pleaded responsible on the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night time for what he described as retaliation on Mitch Georgiades after the Port Adelaide ahead grabbed his damaged thumb.
The 20-year-old had tackled Georgiades to the bottom throughout Sunday’s conflict in Brisbane and, after the ball left the world, shoved the Port attacker face-first into the turf.
Gallop performed the match with strapping on a damaged proper thumb.
“Mitch has grabbed my thumb as I’ve gone to face up,” Gallop stated, including Georgiades’ motion was intentional.
However Gallop expressed regret for retaliating, saying he had phoned Georgiades to apologise.
“Trying again now and watching the footage, I perceive that the retaliation to what occurred wasn’t honest,” he stated.
“I’ve gone out of my option to push him down, which I’m sorry for and I do remorse. I would wish to have that point over once more.
“It is a very dangerous look and there is not any room for it in footy.”
Gallop stated his retaliation was an “rapid response”.
