Jürgen Klopp has confirmed he is in negotiations to take over as Germany coach and says he is “recharged” the power he was lacking when he left Liverpool.
Klopp is the German soccer federation’s most popular candidate after Julian Nagelsmann resigned, 4 days after Germany misplaced on penalties to Paraguay within the spherical of 32.
“Julian has stepped down and the (federation) is engaged on the succession and has approached me in the midst of these issues,” Klopp stated, talking from New York on German broadcaster Magenta TV in his function as a World Cup commentator.
Klopp was the one coach named in a federation assertion on the crew’s future, which stated Klopp had “signaled his willingness” to take over.
