An intensive search is underway on a distant Scottish island after a New Zealand monk disappeared from a monastery.
Justin Evans, 24, was final seen throughout the Golgotha Monastery on Papa Stronsay, Orkney.
Scotland police stated he had final been seen shortly earlier than midnight on Saturday, 11 April.
Evans was described as being six-foot-tall with quick hair and a darkish beard. He spoke with a New Zealand accent and was final seen carrying a white gown, police stated.
Inspector David Corridor stated there had been intensive searches for Evans and issues had been rising as time handed.
“We’re working with associate companies and intensive searches are being carried out within the island space.
“I’m now interesting for anybody might have visited the island and have any info on Justin or his whereabouts to contact us.”
Papa Stronsay was purchased by an order of Catholic monks over twenty years in the past. Based on 2022 Census information, 9 folks resided on the island.
The Golgotha Monastery was established by the traditionalist Catholic order Sons of the Most Holy Redeemer.
