Police say two individuals have been arrested following an alleged kidnapping and aggravated theft carried out in east Auckland.
Detective senior sergeant Dean Batey, the officer accountable for Counties Manukau East Police’s felony investigation department, says police arrested and charged the pair following an incident in Botany earlier this week.
On Tuesday, March 31, a lady was allegedly kidnapped in her personal car from outdoors a purchasing centre on Chapel Street.
“Following police enquiries, officers have arrested and charged two ladies in relation to the incident,” Batey says.
“The 20- and 32-year-old are each due within the Manukau District Courtroom tomorrow, dealing with expenses of kidnapping, aggravated theft, and injuring with intent to injure.”
