BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 24. President of the
Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has signed a decree on extra measures to enhance the supply
of ingesting water to the inhabitants within the Nakhchivan Autonomous
Republic, Pattern

Guided by paragraph 32 of Article 109 of the Structure of the
Republic of Azerbaijan, and in step with the Motion Plan for
2026−2030 on making certain the environment friendly use of water sources within the
Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, authorized by Presidential Order
quantity 942 dated February 21, 2026, the top of state resolved to
improve ingesting water provide in a number of settlements throughout the
autonomous republic.
Below the decree, the Azerbaijan State Water Assets Company,
in coordination with the Approved Consultant Workplace of the
President of Azerbaijan within the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, will
take the required measures for the preparation of design and

provide by way of 40 sub-artesian wells in 38 settlements with a

The decree was signed in Baku, Azerbaijan, on February 24,
2026.
