SAN JOSE, California — Police in California evacuated a shopping center Friday, one of many busiest buying days of the 12 months, after a taking pictures left two individuals with gunshot wounds.
The taking pictures was an remoted incident, the San Jose Police Division stated on the social platform X.
Officers evacuated and cleared Valley Honest Mall in Santa Clara to substantiate there was no menace to public security.
The wounded had been taken to a hospital, police stated.
San Jose and Santa Clara are neighboring cities about 50 miles (80 kilometers) south of San Francisco.
The day after Thanksgiving, identified within the retail trade as “ Black Friday,” marks the official begin of the vacation buying season within the U.S. and is the largest buying day of the 12 months.
