Convicted Dutch little one rapist Steven van de Velde has been denied a visa to Australia to compete within the Seaside Volleyball World Championships.
Van de Velde was sentenced to 4 years in jail in 2016 after admitting to a few counts of rape towards a baby who he had met on Fb, with the incident happening in August 2014.
He was launched after serving 12 months of his sentence and resumed his volleyball profession in 2018.Â
Minister for House Affairs Tony Burke stated the federal authorities “will proceed to make use of each too now we have obtainable to make sure that Australians may be protected and really feel protected of their communities”.
Van de Velde has since represented the Netherlands in a number of worldwide tournaments and on the Paris Olympics.
Earlier this month, the South Australian authorities wrote to the federal authorities, urging it to ban him from coming into Australia.
