Israel launched an assault on high Hamas officers Tuesday, the Israel Protection Forces introduced, as explosions rocked the Qatari capital Doha.
The IDF mentioned on X it “carried out a exact strike focusing on the senior management of the Hamas terrorist group,” with out explicitly mentioning Doha. An Israeli official confirmed the placement of the assault to POLITICO.
It’s the first time Israel has carried out a strike within the Gulf state and marks a significant escalation of unrest within the Center East. In footage shared on social media, smoke will be seen curling above the Qatari capital.
