Within the early months of the conflict in Ukraine, Gen. Mark Milley, then chair of the joint chiefs of employees, carried a word card in his briefcase outlining what he noticed as the primary priorities when it got here to the US and NATO method to the conflict. As reported by the Washington Put up, they have been: No. 1: "Haven’t got a kinetic battle between the U.S. army and NATO with Russia." No. 2: "Comprise conflict contained in the geographical boundaries of Ukraine." No. 3: "Strengthen and keep NATO unity." No. 4: "Empower Ukraine and provides them the means to combat."
