Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday prolonged greetings to the Kashmiri Pandit group on the sacred event of Herath, marking the celebration of Mahashivratri. The phrase ‘Herath’ is derived from the phrases “Hara” (one other title for Lord Shiva) and “Ratri” (night time).

In a put up on X, PM Modi wrote: “Herath Poshte! This sacred pageant displays the wealthy traditions of our Kashmiri Pandit group. Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah prolonged their greetings.
