PM Modi Greets Kashmiri Pandits On Maha Shivratri Eve. (File)

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday prolonged greetings to the Kashmiri Pandit group on the sacred event of Herath, marking the celebration of Mahashivratri. The phrase ‘Herath’ is derived from the phrases “Hara” (one other title for Lord Shiva) and “Ratri” (night time).

In a put up on X, PM Modi wrote: “Herath Poshte! This sacred pageant displays the wealthy traditions of our Kashmiri Pandit group. On this pious event, I pray for wellness and abundance in everybody’s lives. Could it open new pathways of success and fill each residence with pleasure and contentment.”

Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah prolonged their greetings.

In a message, the Lt Governor mentioned, “On the sacred event of Mahashivratri, I prolong my heartfelt greetings and greatest needs to all. I pray for the well being, happiness, and prosperity of each citizen.” The LG mentioned the sacred pageant, celebrated as ‘Herath’ by Kashmiri Pandit group, is a logo of religious custom and communal concord.

“Mahashivratri holds a spot of profound significance in our life. The holy pageant supplies alternative to pause and mirror the timeless virtues Lord Shiva exemplifies. The instructing Lord Shiva embodies is one among common service,” he mentioned.

In his message, the CM mentioned Mahashivratri is a sacred pageant symbolising devotion, religion and religious awakening, and it evokes folks to observe the trail of righteousness, concord and compassion.

“On the blessed event of Mahashivratri, I convey my heartfelt greetings and greatest needs to all. Could this sacred event carry peace, happiness and prosperity to each family,” Abdullah mentioned.
