Former Indonesian President Joko Widodo provided prayers on the Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirumala on Thursday, an official stated.
TTD officers acquired Widodo and later took him for darshan (go to to deity).
“Seventh President of Indonesia (Widodo) had darshan of Lord Venkateswara Swamy and was acquired by TTD officers, who escorted him for darshan,” information company PTI quoted an official as saying.
After the darshan, TTD officers introduced him with silk garments, the Lord’s prasadams and a portrait of Lord Venkateswara on the Ranganayakula Mandapam.
TTD is the official custodian of Sri Venkateswara temple in Tirupati, the richest Hindu shrine on the planet.
