Flights at Bangladesh’s main airport halted by major fire

Flights out of Bangladesh’s predominant airport have been halted after a big hearth erupted within the cargo terminal, officers have confirmed.

Thirty-six firefighting models have been battling the blaze on Saturday, Talha Bin Zasim, an officer on the Hearth Service and Civil Defence Media Cell, stated.

Operations at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal Worldwide Airport have been suspended, airport official Masudul Hasan stated, including that each one plane are protected.

The reason for the hearth stays unknown.

Each home and worldwide flights have been affected.

An IndiGo flight from Delhi to Dhaka was diverted to Kolkata, and an Air Arabia flight from Sharjah within the United Arab Emirates was despatched on to Chittagong.

In the meantime, a Cathay Pacific flight from Hong Kong was seen circling within the sky after failing to land at Dhaka airport, officers stated.

The military, navy, and air power joined the hearth service in efforts to carry the blaze beneath management.

That is the third main hearth reported in Bangladesh this week.

A hearth on Tuesday at a garment manufacturing unit in Bangladesh and an adjoining chemical warehouse killed a minimum of 16 individuals and injured others.

On Thursday, one other hearth burned down a garment manufacturing unit constructing in an export processing zone in Chittagong.
