A speedy response put officers on the path of a pair of thieves in a single day, police say.
Round 10pm on Sunday, police say they responded to reviews the alarms had been sounding at Blockhouse Bay Intermediate on Bolton Avenue.
Upon arrival it was confirmed the varsity had been damaged into, and objects had been lacking from some lecture rooms, police say.
Auckland Metropolis West Police space response supervisor, senior sergeant Man Baldwin, says the Eagle helicopter was shortly overhead and noticed the alleged offenders making an attempt to make a getaway.
“Eagle noticed two males leaping over fences close by in an try and evade police.
“With Eagle orbiting overhead, the canine staff managed to find the offender’s scent observe, which in flip, led to the offenders.
