Billionaire Michael Platt’s BlueCrest Capital Administration has stated the UK is “not a severe contender” as a spot to do enterprise after shedding a £200 million authorized battle in opposition to the UK tax authorities.

BlueCrest was based in 2000 by Mr Platt and fellow dealer William Reeves.

An HMRC spokesperson stated: “We welcome the Supreme Court docket’s resolution, which confirms how the Salaried Member Guidelines needs to be carried out. As at all times, we’ll take into account if any updates needs to be made to our steering in gentle of this judgment.”
