Police have named the person who died after getting into Lake Tekapo final week.
He was Baldeep Singh, 34, of Christchurch.
Police had acquired studies Mr Singh had entered the water on Thursday final week.
Police divers recovered his physique the following day, following a two-day search.
Emergency companies had been alerted about 8pm on the Thursday, after studies a person had entered the water and never resurfaced.
Police search and rescue workers, Coastguard Mackenzie Lakes volunteers, Fireplace and Emergency NZ and a helicopter had been concerned within the search.Â
Police had been persevering with to make enquires on behalf of the Coroner.
In an unrelated incident, police discovered one other physique in Lake Tekapo yesterday.
