Two individuals have been injured in Oamaru, one significantly, after a automobile and motorbike collided this afternoon.
A Police spokeswoman mentioned the incident occurred on the intersection of Ouse St and Thames St (State Freeway 1), close to Waitaki Ladies’ Excessive College at 12.50pm.
“Two persons are reported to have been injured — one severe and one reasonable — and they’re being handled by St John ambulance employees.”
She mentioned the northbound lanes have been now closed with diversions in place, and the south certain lanes could be closed quickly to permit a rescue helicopter to land on the scene.
“These travelling northbound are suggested to take Trent St.”
Drivers are being urged to keep away from the realm, she mentioned.
