NEW DELHI: A large blast ripped by a firecracker manufacturing unit in Tamil Nadu’s Virudhunagar on Sunday, killing 16 folks and injuring six others within the Kattanarpatti space, information company ANI reported.The incident was confirmed by the fireplace andrescue division.Tamil Nadu chief minister MK Stalin responded to the tragedy, expressing condolences to the households of those that misplaced their lives.He wrote on X, “The tragic information of the lack of a number of lives within the firecracker manufacturing unit explosion in Kattanarpatti, Virudhunagar district, causes immense sorrow. My deepest condolences to the households of those that have handed away.I’ve requested the esteemed ministers KKSSR Ramachandran and Thangam Thennarasu to hurry to the scene instantly to expedite and oversee the rescue operations and to supply solace to the affected households.”He additionally instructed native district authorities to offer rapid help on the bottom.
