Police stated the only automobile crash occurred on State Freeway 1 in Waipu on Sunday morning about 9.40am, close to the intersection with Waipu Gorge Street.
The rider died on the scene.
Earlier this weekend, an individual was killed within the Northland city of Kaitaia when a automobile hit a tree.
Emergency companies had been referred to as to that crash close to the intersection of North Street and Farrimond Place at 10.30pm on Saturday.
