U.S. President Donald Trump is contemplating John Hurley, a senior official on the U.S. Treasury, for the position of ambassador to Germany, the Monetary Instances reported Friday.
Hurley, who at present holds the place of undersecretary of the Treasury for terrorism and monetary intelligence, has been interviewed by the White Home for roles together with ambassador to Germany, based on the FT report.Â
The put up has been held on an interim foundation by a profession diplomat since July 2024. In line with the Monetary Instances report, no resolution has but been made on whether or not Hurley will get the German ambassador job, and he stays in his place on the Treasury.
