Liverpool head coach Arne Slot was sad with the best way Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven tackled Alexander Isak because the Swedish striker scored the Reds’ second aim on Saturday in North London, believing it was reckless – to be truthful, it did end in Isak’s leg getting damaged.
Nevertheless, Spurs boss Thomas Frank clearly doesn’t see it that means and believes each “true defender” makes that deal with.
“If my defender doesn’t do this, then they don’t seem to be true defenders.” 💪
