BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 4. A brand new batch of
grain shall be despatched from Russia in transit by the territory of
Azerbaijan to Armenia, Development experiences.
At this time, eight grain-laden wagons shall be transported to Armenia
through Azerbaijan in transit.
On October 21, 2025, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan
Ilham Aliyev, in a joint press assertion with Kazakh President
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, emphasised that Azerbaijan had lifted all
restrictions on cargo transit to Armenia that had existed for the reason that
occupation, and the primary such transit cargo was the supply of
Kazakh grain to Armenia.
Transit of grain from Russia to Armenia by the territory of
Azerbaijan started on November 9, 2025.
A complete of 20,099 tons of grain have been despatched from Russia to
Armenia by rail in transit by the territory of Azerbaijan so
far.
Final time, wagons with grain with a complete weight of 1,746 tons
have been despatched from Russia to Armenia in transit by the territory
of Azerbaijan on February 1.
Of the whole quantity of grain shipped, 5,577.2 tons have been
transported final 12 months, and 14,942.38 tons this 12 months.
