NEW DELHI: A sewadar at Kalkaji Temple in southeast Delhi has died after being overwhelmed by a bunch of holiday makers throughout a dispute over ‘Chunni Prasad’, police mentioned. The sufferer, Yogendra Singh, 35, had been serving on the temple for round 14–15 years. He was initially from Fattepur in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh. Police mentioned a PCR name was acquired at 9.30pm on Friday reporting an assault contained in the temple premises. Officers discovered that Singh had been attacked by a number of males following an argument over ‘Chunni Prasad’. Throughout the confrontation, the group allegedly hit Singh with sticks and fists. He was taken to the AIIMS Trauma Centre however succumbed to his accidents. One of many accused, recognized as Atul Pandey, 30, from Dakshinpuri, was caught by locals and handed over to police. An FIR has been registered beneath Sections 103 (homicide) and three(5) (widespread intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Kalkaji police station. Police mentioned the seek for the remaining suspects is ongoing and additional investigation is beneath manner.
